Cooperative-Planning-Oriented Probabilistic Matching of Photovoltaic Generators and Base Station Loads by Considering Historical Scenarios

Cellular base stations for wireless communication are more widely distributed currently than before and become a highly energy-consuming system. On the supply side, large amounts of distributed photovoltaic generators are penetrating into the power grid accompanied by energy curtailment unavoidable. A methodology called “Treble-M” is adopted to build cooperation between base stations and photovoltaic generators. The models are first generated based on historical data thus typical scenarios are defined and enumerated. Some indices are proposed and regarded as guidance for optimization. Strategies are finally listed based on the characteristic of indices. In case studies, an area with distributed generators and loads is chosen for method application with detailed suggestions put forward. The verification is conducted to prove its effectiveness and feasibility.
