Separation and Identification of Sources of Supraharmonic Signals Using Complex ICA

The separation and identification of original sources of supraharmonic signals in electrical grids remains a problem and is still not fully studied in power quality. In this paper, Independent Component Analysis is applied to the separation of a mixture of supraharmonic signals, which provides a blind technique to identify the sources of the separated signals. Results from real data suggest that such separation and identification of signal sources of supraharmonic emissions is possible.
