Research and Application of Physical Optics Method with Near Field Equivalent Source

In this paper, physical optics (PO) with near field equivalent source (NFES) was proposed to quickly calculate the electromagnetic (EM) characteristics of electrically large targets. The full-wave method is used to accurately simulate the antenna. The NFES of the antenna is obtained, which is brought into PO to calculate radiation problems of electrically large targets. No matter for metal targets or dielectric targets, NFES-PO can calculate accurate results while the efficiency is improved.
