Design of Ka-Band Broadband Millimeter-Wave Antenna Based on Metasurface

In this paper, a broadband millimeter-wave antenna based on a metasurface is proposed. The impedance bandwidth of this antenna can be greatly widened by cutting the corners and slotting the conventional microstrip antenna and loading a double-loop metasurface on top of it. The 10-dB bandwidth of this broadband millimeter-wave antenna based on the metasurface structure is 24.41 - 40.86 GHz, with a relative bandwidth of 50.4 %. in the whole working bandwidth, the gain of the antenna is greater than 4 dB, and the highest in-band gain is 8.5 dB.
