Influence of Diverter Stirp on Conduction Performance of Metamaterial

In this paper, based on cross grid and jerusalem metamaterial structures, the influence of diverter stirp on its conduction performance during transient lightning response by loading soild metal diverter strip and segmented diverter strip on the surface is studied. The results show that, for the cross grid metamaterial structure, the current can not be obviously changed by loading the diverter stirp. For the jerusalem metamaterial, loading soild metal diverter strip can effectively conduct current on the surface of the structure whlie loading segmented diverter strip cannot conduct current. The results have some guiding significance in the field of lightning protection design of metamaterial.
