A High Isolation Dual-Polarized Base Station Antenna Array with Parasitic Elements

In this paper, a parasitic structure is proposed to mitigate the mutual coupling among the dual-polarized base station antennas. The proposed parasitic structure is integrated into a 5-element array antenna, utilizing a staggered arrangement of antenna elements. By strategically incorporating the parasitic elements, significant enhancements in isolations of both co-polarization and cross-polarization have been achieved within the operating frequency range of 3.4-3.8 GHz. Additionally, the radiation performance of the antenna has been substantially enhanced.
