Improvement of the Culture Conditions of the Chlorella sp Microalgae in a Photobioreactor for the Production of Biodiesel

In the present research work, the objective was to determine the appropriate conditions for the cultivation of the microalgae Chlorella sp in a Photobioreactor and to obtain the biomass of chlorella sp for biodiesel. For this, physical properties such as pH, temperature, CO2 flow and chemical properties such as the use of micronutrients and macronutrients in the growth medium of microalgae Chlorella sp were controlled. To obtain the biomass, centrifuge operations were carried out. drying it in an oven at a controlled temperature, extraction of the lipids by the soxhlet method using a solvent such as petroleum ether and then the lipid yield was determined, finally the transesterification synthesis reaction was carried out with methanol and KOH, obtaining biodiesel as a result. and glycerin this product was analyzed by infrared spectrophotometry (FTIR) which allowed identifying the composition of biodiesel as methyl oleate in greater proportion and others in small amounts.
