Power Management in Distribution System Employing Solid State Transformer

This paper presents the modeling, design and analysis of a solid state transformer (SST) integrated with a microgrid of a high voltage AC distribution system. The inherent dc link of SST is used for integration. The SST controls the power management among distribution grid, solar PV and battery energy storage (BES) system. In this paper, performance with comprehensive approach is analyzed in both grid-tied and stand-alone modes. The MATLAB simulation model is developed and feasibility of the proposed scheme is observed.
