Thermal Analysis Research on Firewall of Converter Station

Due to the frequent occurrence of fire accidents in converter stations, research on the insulation performance of converter station firewalls has become a hot topic. This article establishes a converter station firewall through finite element simulation software. Under the conditions of HC heating curve, the thermodynamic characteristics of the firewall were analyzed. The research results indicate that: Due to the irregular shape of the system, the temperature flow trend within the system is also irregular. Overall, heat flows from areas with higher temperatures to areas with lower temperatures. Due to the high thermal conductivity of square steel, the maximum heat flow is above the square steel, and the phenomenon of energy concentration gradually becomes apparent. In practical engineering, it is recommended to further provide fire protection for square steel.
