Dual-Band Millimeter-Wave Filtering Power Divider Using Groove Gap Waveguide and Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton

This paper proposes a millimeter-wave dual-band filtering power divider, which is based on groove gap waveguides (GGW), spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP), and full-metal resonance structure (FMRS). First, the GGW and SSPP are used to construct a T-junction single-band filtering power divider. Then, a full-metal resonance structure is introduced to form a stopband, dividing the single wideband into dual-band operation. Finally, these two components and functions are integrated. Simulation results prove the good performance of the proposed design, with lower band ranging from 20.65GHz to 25.42GHz (FBW=20.71%) and upper band ranging from 27.73GHz to 30.97GHz (FBW=11.04%). The return loss is better than 12.8 dB and 15 dB, respectively. Both bands maintain a rather low insertion loss below 0.24 dB. Due to the use of full-metal structure, the proposed design shows the characteristics of low loss and large power capacity.
