Power Flow Analysis of Hybrid Distribution Systems

Simultaneous load flow solution for AC and DC hybrid distribution systems(HDSs) is presented in this research paper. This method could be utilized in hybrid DSs for various AC/DC buses/line topologies. The categorization of the buses present in hybrid distribution systems is presented for this load flow method. Generalized load flow equations are also formulated for various AC-DC hybrid system topologies. Three sets of configurations of the AC and DC buses are considered in the context of lines that exist between the buses. Individual power equations are developed for each configuration. The 8-bus system is utilized to evaluate the presented load flow approach, which is implemented in GAMS software and solved using a CONOPT solver.
