Design of Compact Fed Serrated CPW Radial Patch Antenna for WiMAX Applications

In this article, A coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed monopole antenna is presented. The antenna is built using FR4 substrate of size 30x30x1.6. The proposed antenna works at single band having compact size of 30*30. Artificial Magnetic Conductors (AMC)structures are used to provide a better bandwidth enhancement to make use of the antenna to work in WIMAX (3.5GHz) Applications. To enable fast data transfer and competitivity among many users for communication systems WiMAX bands acts as a bridge. The proposed work is carried out iteration wise to get works at targeted band. The practicality of the proposed work is verified using the simulated results in ANSYS HFSS. The radiation patterns, reflection coefficients and other antenna parameters their analysis have been verified according to the WiMAX standards.
