High Step-up Reverse-F-Type Coupled Inductor Switch Capacitor Boost Converter

In order to improve the boost ratio of the DC-DC converter applied to photovoltaic power generation system to meet the lower input voltage level of photovoltaic panels, this paper introduces a new type of converter based on the improvement of the coupled inductor switch capacitor boost converter. The converter uses a "Reverse-F-Type" coupled inductor switch capacitor structure, and adds a diode-capacitor branch to limit the switch tube voltage stress. The high voltage gain of the converter is further improved by the post-boost unit. This paper provides a detailed introduction to the operation of the converter in Continuous Conduction Mode, analyzing its voltage gain and the voltage stress on each switching device. In order to verify the superiority of the proposed converter, PSIM software was used to simulate it. The simulation results show that this converter has a 20% increase in voltage gain compared to the converter without an added boost stage, and the simulated image obtained is consistent with the conclusion of theoretical analysis. A comparison of the voltage gain of the proposed converter with other converters in the reference showed that this converter has better boosting performance.
