A Lightweight Approach for Large CAD Models Based on Lazy Loading

In response to the challenges of slow loading speed and the difficulty of computer performance when handling large assemblies in 3D CAD environments, we propose a lightweight solution based on lazy data loading. This approach involves hierarchical and structural data division, and an efficient lazy data system that avoids premature loading of redundant data. This approach not only enhances the loading speed, but also improves the computer’s ability to handle large assemblies efficiently. After implementing our proposed solution in CAXA 3D, our tests show that loading speed is improved, memory usage is reduced, and overall system performance is significantly enhanced.
