Overview of Energy-Saving and Consumption-Reducing Techniques for Petrochemical Wastewater Treatment

Based on the sources and characteristics of petrochemical wastewater, various technological methods for petrochemical wastewater treatment are summarized, and energy consumption analysis is conducted on the treatment process, pointing out the problems of non-environmental protection, high energy consumption, low resource conversion rate, and low treatment efficiency in the process of petrochemical wastewater treatment. In response to the above energy consumption issues, energy-saving and consumption reduction development strategies for petrochemical wastewater treatment plants are summarized from two aspects: high-energy-consuming equipment and energy-saving optimization control. The energy-saving transformation methods of water pumps, aeration blowers, and accurate dosing processes are summarized, and the application schemes of model simulation control technology and intelligent control technology in accurate aeration control are analyzed for their feasibility to reduce energy consumption while improving pollutant removal efficiency in wastewater. Finally, a summary and outlook are provided, and the development of simple and efficient intelligent control algorithms is proposed to further promote the development of petrochemical wastewater treatment plants.
