Position Sensitivity Analysis of Double-Sided LCC Compensation Topology in Wireless Power Transfer System

When the receiver coil of the magnetic coupling resonant wireless power transfer (MCR-WPT) system is misaligned, the transmission efficiency will be reduced to a certain extent. In order to maintain a high level of transmission efficiency, selecting an appropriate compensation topology is necessary to reduce the position sensitivity. This paper will focus on the position sensitivity analysis of double-sided LCC compensation topology in MCR-WPT system. The resonant compensation conditions are calculated by circuit modeling, the impedance, output current and transmission efficiency characteristics are analyzed, using S-S compensation topology as an comparison. The position sensitivity of the two types of MCR-WPT systems is analyzed by mathematical modeling. Simulation results show that the MCR-WPT system with double-sided LCC topology has lower position sensitivity than that with S-S topology.
