Analysis of Transmit Piano Board Based Metasurface Illuminated by a Dual Polarized Antenna

This paper proposes a transmit electromagnetic surface based on piano board configuration, which can realize two different multi-beam radiation patterns with orthogonal polarizations independently. A Dual Linearly Polarized (DLP) microstrip antenna is designed to excite the metasurface with a 27 GHz to 29 GHz operating frequency band. The structure made by combining the DLP antenna and the transmit metasurface can produce the specified radiations.
