Wideband Circularly Polarized Slotted Multi-Port Patch Antenna for High-Precision GNSS Systems

A modified patch antenna based on the four-port feeds connected with 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270° phase shifters is presented to achieve a broadband circular polarization performance. The impedance bandwidth at or above 10dB return loss is about 620MHz, from 1.07GHz to 1.69GHz. The 3dB-axial-ratio bandwidth is about 610MHz, from 1.12GHz to 1.73GHz. The proposed patch antenna is suitable for high-precision GNSS applications.
