Mutual influences of modal dispersion and mode-dependent loss in multiple-mode fibers

We construct a statistical model of modal dispersion and mode-dependent loss based on the density-matrix formalism, and employ it to study the mutual influences of modal dispersion and mode-dependent loss in a 4-mode fiber.
