Robot Path Tracking and Real-time Obstacle Avoidance under Laser Radar Technology

This paper explores the application of laser radar technology in the field of mobile robotics, focusing on path tracking and real-time obstacle avoidance. The study emphasizes the increasing demand for robots in various industries, particularly in logistics and manufacturing, and the need for more flexible and maneuverable robots to meet complex task requirements. The paper discusses the use of omnidirectional mobile robots, which can achieve three degrees of freedom in motion without additional steering mechanisms, making them suitable for complex working environments. The paper also delves into the use of sensors, including visual and non-visual types, for real-time updates of the environment. A key aspect of the study is the use of Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging), a sensor widely used in robotics for its anti-interference capability, accurate ranging, and unlimited operational duration. The paper presents a method for robot movement path tracking and real-time obstacle avoidance based on laser radar technology, demonstrating its effectiveness through simulations. The proposed method significantly improves the robot's movement speed and accurately avoids obstacles, thereby reliably tracking the desired path.
