Analysis and Prediction of College Students' Employment Based on Decision Tree Classification Algorithm

Decision tree is a decision technology, which helps make decisions by using the tree representation of options and their results. Decision trees are used to analyze and predict the results of different situations. Decision trees are widely used in marketing, finance, management and many other fields. The purpose of this study is to analyze and predict the employment status of college students according to their decision-making process. This research will be carried out on two groups of students: those who choose to study engineering as their major and those who choose business management as their major. Use this model to find some hidden and useful factors and internal links that affect students' employment. And the model can be used to guide schools to carry out teaching reform, guide graduates to choose suitable employment units according to their own learning conditions, avoid students taking fewer detours in the employment process, and greatly improve the employment rate of students. At the same time, it also promotes students' purposeful and selective learning. In order to meet the needs of social development, it constantly improves its own quality and knowledge structure, improves its employment competitiveness, and also plays a guiding and auxiliary role in school management decision-making.
