Design of A Broadband Dual-Polarized Magnetoelectric Dipole Antenna for 3G/4G/5G Communication

A broadband dual-polarized magnetoelectric dipole antenna is presented in this paper. In particular, on the basis of conventional magnetoelectric dipole antenna, modified patches and parasitic branch elements are employed in the proposed antenna to achieve a wider impedance bandwidth. The overlapped bandwidth of the proposed antenna, according to simulation results, is up to 101.7% (1.18GHz-3.62GHz), with a return loss more than 10dB. Meanwhile, the radiation pattern is stable and unidirectional with the low cross polarization level across the operating frequency band.
