Gradient Bit-Flipping Decoding for QC-MDPC McEliece PKC

Strong and efficient cryptographic systems are crucial for secure consumer electronic devices. In this paper, we propose and evaluate a modification of bit-flipping decoding called gradient bit-flipping decoding, a decoding method for the QC-MDPC McEliece PKC. Simulation results show that the gradient bit-flipping decoding has lower error rates than other methods when the number of errors is small.
