Performance Analysis of Joint Backscattering and Energy Harvesting Full-Duplex Access Points in Wireless Cellular Area Networks

In this paper, a backscatter communication model with a full duplex hybrid access point is proposed and the system has two cells. WiFi access points are located in both cells. User A in the first cell performs information transmit only through backscatter communication in the time allocated to him, while user B in the second cell both harvests energy with the signal coming from the full duplex hybrid access point and transfers information using this harvested energy. The hybrid access point has two antennas and transmits signals uninterruptedly with one antenna and receives data from users with the other antenna. In the system model, our aim is to find the most appropriate backscattering, energy harvesting and information transmission times and to maximize the number of data reaching the HAP. At this point, the system was transformed into an optimization problem and solved by applying KKT (Karush-Kuhn-Tucker) conditions and the optimal values of the system variables were found. With the simulations, the change in the number of bits reaching the HAP under different values of the system parameters was examined and the results were analyzed.
