Femtosecond Yb:CALGO laser operating at 8 MHz

We have demonstrated a mode-locked Yb:CALGO laser operating at 8.2 MHz repetition rate. The cavity was extended based on the White cell configuration which consists of 3 concave mirrors and is easy to control to change the cavity length. We got 126 fs pulses by using a 10% output coupler. The output power was 430 mW at 21 W of incident pump power. The corresponding pulse energy was 52 nJ and the peak power was 416 kW.
