Dual-Dispersive Compressive Spectral Structured Light Imaging

Spectral depth imaging (SDI) based on active illumination is an advanced computer vision approach for monitoring/detection applications. Structured-light (SL)-based SDIs have become popular due to their high accuracy and low-complexity setups. However, recent approaches rely on expensive color or multispectral filter arrays that limit their spectral resolution. To overcome these limitations, we develop a structured light-based SDI, termed compact compressive spectral depth imager (CoCOSDI) that offers high-dimensional encoding by synergistically combining inexpensive color/binary films and a direct vision prism.
