A Low-Complexity Algorithm for Time Error Estimation in Distributed Radars

Parameter estimation, target detection and tracking capabilities of a radar system can be significantly enhanced by deploying a distributed network. In this paper, a design of partially correlated waveform is proposed as an alternative to the traditional method to make the error estimation uncomplicated, and the novel algorithm is used for estimating the time differences of transmit coherence parameters. Furthermore, the estimation algorithm for distributed dual radar systems is presented, and the coherent rendered signals are fused and separated at transmitter and receiver parts, respectively. The simulation experiments prove effectiveness and low-complexity of the proposed algorithm.
