A Fluorescent-Based POCT System for Blood Cell Testing

Point-of-care testing has developed rapidly in recent years and is widely used in all clinical and home examinations. However, Point-of-care Equipment is unwieldy and time-consuming to detect the blood cell concentration. In this paper, we have proposed a low-cost and rapid system for detecting the concentration of specific particles using fluorescence detection technology. The system consists of a container, an excitation part and an emission part. The excitation and emission are in two different planes. And the system achieves a better signal-to-noise ratio by this construction. The fluorescent microbeads were used as samples to test the system. The measurement using the system is fast, low cost and suitable for clinical blood cell concentration testing.
