An Overview on Integration of Artificial Intelligence Tools to Predict the Nature of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Artificial intelligence (AI) and its nature have evolved over the period of time. With its rapid growth and application, it has shown many remarkable changes, especially in the identification and diagnosis of various diseases including lung disorders. One such disease is Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is a chronic lung condition that makes breathing difficult. It is characterized by a prolonged airflow blockage that interferes with normal breathing. The high amount of data including various test reports and images sample that can be obtained on the clinical level and seeing the nature of COPD makes this disease an ideal subject that can be uncovered using the help of many AI and ML tools. This review focuses on the application of ML models and AI tools that have played a vital role in suggesting the nature of COPD including the areas where the tools have limitations and the further opportunities where the tools can be improved.
