Plasma Printed Antenna for Flexible Battery-Less Smart Mask for Lung Health Monitoring

We present a novel approach to lung health monitoring that utilizes a plasma-printed, flexible NFC antenna with silver nanoparticles to improve the performance and durability of the device. Our battery-less smart mask uses the energy-harvesting property of Near Field Communication (NFC) to power the device. The mask includes a porous silicon-based sensor that measures the moisture content of exhaled breath, and the sensor data is transmitted to a dedicated reader via NFC, enabling remote lung health monitoring. The photoluminescence property of porous silicon (PS) is utilized to detect minute changes in moisture content. This innovative technology, with its enhanced flexibility and performance, demonstrates the potential for providing a non-invasive, cost-effective solution for monitoring lung health.
