I. Introduction
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is strongly evolving with the emergence of cognitive sensor networks and notably the arrival of the Internet-of-Things [1], [2], [3]. Already ubiquitous in the fields of logistics, security and traceability, the new tags are equipped with new capabilities and functionalities in addition to identification. This evolution of the RFID tags, called “augmented RFID tags”, is at the heart of research and is generating great interest in the academic and industrial worlds [4], [5].
