Packet Delivery Measurement between Narrowband Internet of Things Devices and Cloud Platform

The disconnection of the network communications of transceivers is one of the problems in the Internet of Things applications, especially IoT devices, with the server resulting in the system being unable to report data continuously, which is affected the efficiency of the data communication system. Therefore, this paper presents a packet delivery ratio test between the Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) and cloud server, adjusting delivery rates ranging from 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 seconds with an accurate experimental comparison of three nodes. The 60-second minimum time setting ensures a transmission success rate of over 90%. However, this result can be a guideline for IoT developers for similar projects with time reporting constraints in design.
