A Study on the Factors Influencing the Passenger throughput of Civil Aviation in Sichuan Province Based on Multi-linear Regression Model

This paper investigated the main influencing factors of civil aviation passenger throughput in Sichuan Province by establishing a multi-linear regression model using the civil aviation passenger throughput data from 2001 to 2019. We uses statistical methods such as correlation analysis, variance test, and variable selection through Lasso to eliminating multicollinearity. Finally, using the established multi-linear regression model, the main factors affecting the passenger throughput in Sichuan Province are the per capita consumption spending of urban residents and the total number of inbound tourists. At the same time, according to the two main factors and the actual situation of Sichuan Province, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to promote the development level of civil aviation and increase the passenger throughput of Sichuan Province.
