Inverter Based Resources Integration Through A Bridgeless Boost Converter for DC-Microgrid Applications

High frequency power converters are frequently used in DC microgrids to boost power and energy densities. To regulate the active-reactive power flow, a grid-tie-inverter with a line inductor is used. A front-end multisource bridgeless boost (MBB) design based on high frequency is proposed here in order to reduce the converter's physical footprint while increasing system effectiveness. To lessen the switching losses brought on by the high-frequency operation, a snubber capacitor and soft switching are used. Investigations are made into the proposed system's effectiveness. The system controller is designed using a direct digital method in the MATLAB/Simulink R2022a environment. A 10 kW multi-source networked prototype setup is created, examined and analyzed using a dSPACE-1104 microcontroller. It's compared to other traditional topologies in order to confirm the system performance. The test results attest to the usefulness of the suggested architecture for integrating hybrid grid-connected renewable energy sources.
