ANN based Voltage Control of Hybrid DC Microgrid Connected System

Renewable energy technology is a significant factor in the widespread adoption of microgrids. The flexibility with which energy storage can be integrated into the DC distribution system and the lower system losses are two of the many reasons for choosing DC Micro Grid. PI and PID linear controllers, which have been around for a long time and are widely used in the power electronics industry, are not the best choice when system parameters change. In order to regulate the output voltage of DC-DC boost converters, this paper suggests using an artificial neural network (ANN). The ANN can then directly regulate the step-up DC converter once it has been calibrated to the appropriate level. Many MATLAB/Simulink simulations are run to test the efficacy of the proposed ANN. The simulation results demonstrate that the ANN controller performs better than the PI controller under a wide range of load conditions.
