Simulation analysis of IEEE 802.15.4 MAC layer based on Matlab

This paper analyzes the transmission performance of the unslotted CSMA/CA mechanism of IEEE 802.15.4 in the beacon-enabled mode, the focus is on its SER(symbol error rate) under different parameters. We describe its key features, such as the superframe structure, which allows devices to access the channel during the contention access period (CAP) or the contention free period (CFP), and the acknowledgement and retransmission mechanisms.
