A high Gain Wideband Inverted E-shaped Antenna Array for 5G mmWave Applications

In this communication, we have designed and compared the three modified inverted E-shaped antennas that are used to form arrays for 5G millimeter wave applications for 26 Hz and 28 GHz. A simple 1 to 8 power divider is used to feed the proposed antenna elements. The maximum bandwidth achieved in all three array configurations lies from 23.15 - 35.25 GHz, and the improvement in the gain is achieved using the modified geometry of antenna elements. The maximum gain of 11.02 dBi is achieved in the entire operating frequency band. The overall size of antenna arrays design is 56.5 mm × 24.5 mm × 1.6 mm All the proposed antenna arrays are designed on an FR4 substrate. The proposed arrays can fulfill the desired requirements for 5G communication.
