Fuzzy Based Intelligent Control Strategy to Mitigate Power Quality Issues in an Interconnected PV System

This study focuses on grid-connected solar PV systems using fuzzy controllers to separate the essential components from load current and produce firing pulses for voltage source converter operation. In order to meet the power demand, need and minimise power quality problems at the common point of coupling, a fuzzy-based MPPT is utilized to modify the duty cycle of the controller under controlled irradiance and ambient temperature circumstances as well as to manage the DC link voltage. The control approach was used to a PV system supplying both linear and non-linear loads that was connected to the grid. The system’s harmonic distortions were seen to be in accordance with IEEE-519 specifications.
