Design of a cloud-based security mechanism for Industry 4.0 communication

Industrial systems, devices, and networks that comprise the IIoT infrastructure are safeguarded by Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) security. This includes guarding against unauthorized access and malicious attacks, as well as maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems. Encryption, firewalls, secure communication protocols, regular software updates, and security audits are a few of the common security methods utilized in IIoT. Additionally, enterprises should have incident response procedures in place to promptly identify and address possible security breaches. IIoT devices and systems should be created from the ground up with security in mind. In this paper, Blockchain is used for the security framework for an industrial IoT system with MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), which is a security feature that requires users to provide multiple forms of authentication in order to access a system or application. Azure IoT, AWS IoT, and other cloud service providers offer security services that allow you to secure your IoT devices and gateways. By using IoT cloud services we can ensure that only authorized devices can connect to the cloud and that all traffic is secure and encrypted also use a service to control access to your IoT devices, for example by implementing a secure device registration process and MFA for device authentication. A cloud-based industry management system with multi-factor security in various levels of physical equipment, such as device authorization, line authorization, and industry authorization, is known as a cloud-based secure industry setup, or CBSI. A cloud-based security mechanism for Industry 4.0 communication is proposed in the paper. In the presented scheme, the monitoring and control dashboard is also offered by the CBSI system for handling urgent situations in real time.
