Study On Sensorless Predictive Control of Six Phase Fault-Tolerant Permanent Magnet Rim Driven Motor with Back-EMF Voltage and NPLL

Based on the control and structural system characteristics of six phase fault-tolerant permanent magnet rim driven motor (FFPM-RDM), an advanced Back-EMF voltage and flux linkage sensorless position estimation algorithm which is no need for any coordinate transformation with model predictive current control is proposed in this paper. The six phase current is predicted independently in two rounds, and the optimal switch combination of H-Bridge inverter circuit is selected by the value function. Beyond that the motor can continue to run stably with the current vector fault tolerant (CVFF) control strategy in the case of failure. Nonorthogonal phase-locked loop (NFLL) technology which can obtained more accurate position estimation is applied to make up for the steady-state error. Theoretical analysis and simulation are used to verify the accuracy of the algorithm both under normal and failure conditions.
