Methodology for designating mobile points of equipment distribution in military operations

This paper presents the methodology of mobile point designation that includes such terrain elements as coverage and relief. The methodology is based on the k-mean clustering and Dijkstra shortest path algorithm. It assumes that military vehicles have to move cross country as the roads are damaged as a result of combat in the area of interest. Mobile points of equipment distribution are located in the optimal place that is available to all units assigned to it. The proposed methodology enable to determine the location of mobile points with the use of terrain passability maps and k-mean clustering extended with Dijkstra algorithm for shortest path calculation.
