A MIM Waveguide Refractive-Index Construction According To SPPs and Fano Resonance

Here in, a micro and nano sensing structure constructed by a metal-insulator-metal (MIM) waveguide coupled with a ring cavity built-in two rectangles (RCBITR) is engineered on the basis of Surface Plasmon Excitation Element and Fano resonance. The transmission capability of the plasma waveguide coupled system are rationally examined by means of the finite element method sub. Also, the specific effects of different structural arguments on the sensitivity and FOM values of the system are evaluated. Simulations show that a pointed unsymmetric Fano resonance appears in the structure, and that separate attunements of the Fano resonance can be accomplished by varying changing the size of the two rectangular cavities and the filling medium. The final sensitivity and FOM values of the designed structure were calculated to be 2660 and 54.28 respectively. The designed structure greatly breaks the limitation of the traditional cavity, which is of considerable help to enhance the integration of the surface-based equipartition excitation sensor.
