Indoor Hydroponics Farming by Using Photovoltaic Generating with IoT Analytics

Nowadays, hydroponics is popular around the world. Hydroponics means growing plants in water instead of in soil with a balanced nutritional composition depending on the specific requirements of the plants grown. Especially, hydroponics is used for vertical farming techniques, which require less space and water in the soil and a lighter workload for laborers. However, when farmers use indoor hydroponics techniques, they need more investment for electricity power consumption and controlling growth factors such as sunlight, humidity, temperature, water level, pH, and conductivity. With the benefit of the Internet of Things (IoT), more solutions for smart farming are found. Therefore, in this research, we investigated how to use solar cells to reduce power consumption and IoT for smart farming more easily, and how to collect data from IoT and find the factors of the growth of hydroponics plants to find the hidden pattern of the plant growth.
