The Selection and Analysis on Statistical Beacon in the Electric Power Consumption Field

China's economic development has entered a “new normal” phase, delivering profound changes in the economic growth rate, structure, and driver. At the same time, the electricity consumption sector has also undergone significant changes. This paper examines the overall situation of electricity consumption in the consumer sector in Yangzhou, China. Based on the statistical results of consumer turnover, the opposite effect is observed in comparison with electricity consumption growth and total retail sale rates. By conducting deep analysis, this paper establishes a beacon user screening system that exploits the correlation of industrial electricity consumption and turnover, based on the electricity consumption of all users in the consumption sector in Yangzhou. It selects those users in each industry with a high correlation between electricity consumption and turnover for key monitoring, constructing a statistical beacon for electricity in the consumption sector in Yangzhou.
