A method for the evaluation of uncertainty in the measurement of transformer short-circuit impedance

One of the main problems with measuring is how to evaluate and communicate uncertainty. Transformer not only is widely used in power system, also is one of the critical and expensive components. This work studied the measurement principle and the methodology for the evaluation of measurement uncertainty of transformer short-circuit impedance. A supplement of the methodology for the evaluation of uncertainty in the measurement of short-circuit impedance of power transformers established in the GUM and its application are presented. Finally, the influence of different sources to measurement uncertainty was also analyzed and obtained the extended uncertainty of measurement of transformer short-circuit impedance. The results are of great significance to improve the measurement quality of short-circuit impedance of transformer.
