Effect of Electric Fields on the Initial Corrosion Behaviour of Carbon Steel at Different Chloride Salt Concentrations

The effect of electric field on metal corrosion under two different concentrations of NaC1 corrosion solutions of 20 g/L and 100 g/L was studied, and the experimental results were analyzed and studied by means of weightlessness experiments, open circuit potentials, polarization curves, etc. The results concluded that, under the premise that the pollutant ions reach a certain amount, continuing to increase the concentration of pollutant ions will not continue to accelerate the rate of corrosion, but will be due to the dissolvable oxygen concentration will lead to slower corrosion. The electric field will not essentially change the corrosion process, the electric field in different salt concentrations of the environment on the corrosion rate of the law is basically the same, the electric field will only be in the original environment caused by the corrosion rate on top of the superimposed on an accelerating effect.
