A Method for Selecting Minimum Break Point Set Based on Multi-objective Optimization

The minimum break point set problem usually has several possible solutions, how to select the optimal solution from them should be further discussed. Taking the sum of cooperative setting steps of directional protections as the index to quantitatively evaluate the cooperative setting performance of directional protections in loop grid, the optimization model of the minimum break point set is built with the consideration of the cooperative setting performance of directional protections. Additional constraint is included in the optimization model to avoid break points are set at important locations. At the same time, the graph theory method for searching cooperative setting steps is given, and the solution method of multi-objective optimization model is also given based on binary particle swarm optimization algorithm. Simulation results show the proposed method can ensure the minimum number of break points, as well as seek the optimal cooperative setting performance of directional protections, effectively solve the selection problem of minimum break point set with several possible solutions.
