Design and Analysis of a New Type of Stator Hybrid Excitation High-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

Because the permanent magnet is easily demagnetized by centrifugal force and high temperature, a new type of stator hybrid excitation high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (HEHS-PMSM) is proposed to solve this problem. Firstly, the topology structure and working principle of the motor are introduced in detail. Secondly, the main structural parameters are obtained by designing the motor. And based on the finite element simulation, the electromagnetic performance of the motor is studied from the aspects of air gap flux density, rotor and permanent magnet eddy current loss. Finally, compared with the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor of the same volume, the results show that the electromagnetic performance of the motor is better.
