Improved ADMM Algorithm with Variable Fixing for the Hydrothermal Unit Commitment Problem

This study proposes an improved ADMM algorithm with variable fixing for the hydrothermal unit commitment problem. The efficiency of this method and two other ADMM-based methods were tested on three datasets. The empirical results demonstrate that ADMM-based algorithms outperform traditional methods in terms of problem-solving time. Moreover, the improved ADMM algorithm proposed in this study also ensures the quality of the solution.
