IIoT for Factory Optimization and Logistics Management using PTC Thingworx and Kepware

IoT is the key to development of supply chain management, manufacturing optimization, resource management and many more aspects of a business. The industrial vision to improve the efficiency in production, maintenance and service, zero-failure, predictive maintenance, sustainability can be achieved with implementation of Industrial IoT. Connected sensors and actuators enable faster decision making, saving time and money. The collected data is also used in Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, etc. The paper presents the demonstration of an Industrial IoT implementation by visualization and real-time monitoring of data for different user roles in an industrial environment. Kepware Server and PTC Thingworx are used for implementation, visualization, and error reporting. This would help make complex information very simple, overcoming the issues of action latency, performance. It helps to gain complete visibility of production lines.
